Every journey needs a starting point, and the Manufacturing Career Pathway is no exception. With that in mind, Elk Grove High School Technology Education teachers Jon Pieper and Jon Wong created a new class - Fabrication Technology - which serves as the career exploration and introductory course for the Manufacturing pathway.

The course theme is “design & build.” Students move from the design process into the Fabrication Lab to build their designs. Starting with 3-D printers and hand tools, students progress to more advanced equipment. Their work is practical and client-centered.
